In 2022, we expanded our portfolio even further beyond traditional silos to focus on catalyzing systems-level change throughout and across our interest areas. We closed the year with nearly 100 grantee partners, a wealth of insights and impact from across the nation, and a profound message of hope in the details despite the ups and downs the year brought.
We were delighted to kick off 2023 with new team members, fresh ideas, a refined strategy, and bold ambitions that we hope will bring about the changes we want to see in the world. As our world grows more complex, it’s critical that our investments take into account the multidimensional nature of today’s systems – to see beyond students to schools, beyond workers to the economy, and beyond technology to the infrastructure of tomorrow.
On Wednesday, February 1, Vice President and Head of Grantmaking Joshua Elder and Senior Vice President and Head of Research John Irons hosted an “Ask Me Anything” (AMA), in which they provided an overview of our 2023 approach, renewed grantmaking interests, and other key updates to our work. They answered questions received during sign up and from live attendees. We had over 100 people in attendance, and appreciate the wealth and depth of the questions participants brought to the event.
