Meet Our 2024-2025 Siegel Research Fellows

Siegel Family Endowment is proud to announce the 2024-2025 cohort of Siegel Research Fellows. This extraordinary group includes researchers, academics, and policy experts whose work spans diverse fields such as technology ethics, economic democracy, social media dynamics, and AI governance. Nominated by a range of host institutions, including leading universities, think tanks, and advocacy organizations, these fellows will tackle complex questions at the intersections of technology, society, and equity. Their projects reflect our commitment to fostering research that addresses pressing societal challenges while advancing innovation and deepening public understanding.

This year’s cohort builds on the strengths of previous groups, embodying the program’s interdisciplinary spirit with fellows from diverse backgrounds, including HBCUs, independent artists, and mathematicians. Their research addresses critical issues such as worker rights in an era of digital automation, the intersection of race and technology, and the role of science diplomacy in global environmental cooperation. Throughout the year, these fellows will participate in seminars, create collaborative content for non-academic audiences, and attend networking events.  Under the guidance of John Irons, Senior Vice President and Head of Research, and with support from our research team, we’re excited to engage with our fourth research fellow cohort and explore the valuable insights they will contribute to our grantees, partners, and team.
